We’re looking for a talented Inside Sales Consultant to grow our team. If you are a natural seller and have experience selling cybersecurity services, or want to grow in this area, we have an excellent opportunity for you. As part of the Control Gap team, you’ll work with high-profile clients in various industries to help sell cybersecurity, risk and compliance services and maintain customer relationships. We analyze, assess and design effective security controls to help clients achieve Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, privacy compliance, and to improve enterprise-wide security. We value strong personable and natural sales influencing skills. You also must have exceptional written and verbal skills with real world work experience as an Inside Sales Consultant. Responsibilities:
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with both prospects and existing customers
  • Qualify and process leads, requests, orders, renewals via website, email, phone and referrals
  • Interface with vendors and partners to facilitate customer requests
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to potential and existing clients as needed
  • Check data accuracy in deals, RFPs, statements of work, agreements
  • Maintain and update customer records and sales activities in CRM
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and goals set by management
  • Timely handover of completed deals to the project management team
  • Communicate important feedback from customers to various internal teams and management
  • Stay up to date with new products and services
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and execute sales campaigns and promotions
  • Identify sales opportunities and generate leads through research, networking, and prospecting
  • Represent the company at various trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to network and generate leads
  • Additional administrative duties as required

Education and Work Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a Sales professional
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in consultative selling
  • Proficiency in selling Cybersecurity, risk or compliance services to various industry verticals is an asset

Industry Certifications:
  • Completion of a Sales Methodology program is an asset (i.e. SPIN, Challenger, Sandler, etc.)
  • Certification in Marketing, Sales or relevant field is an asset
  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP), or equivalent is an asset
  • Industry certifications in the Information Security/Audit is an asset
  • Industry vertical specific training or certifications is an asset

Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with, or eagerness to learn various information security concepts including:
  • network and wireless security, application security, industry best practice frameworks, systems hardening, data encryption, data privacy, incident response, business continuity, physical security, risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, file integrity monitoring, log monitoring, and security governance controls (i.e. policies, processes, standards, procedures).
  • Familiarity with various security products and technologies
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams OneNote)
  • Familiarity with various web conference tools (Google Meetings, Cisco WebEx, Zoom)
  • Hands on experience with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Hands on experience using prospecting and research tools such as LinkedIn, Zoom Info, Seamless AI, etc.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to develop and execute email communications for client campaigns
  • Ability to research a prospect or client using provided tools
  • Ability to prepare and deliver standard and tailored presentations on services and products

  • The ability to take ownership of an error or miscommunication and create a path of recovery to client satisfaction.
  • Ability to anticipate trends in industry
  • Ability to offer creative strategies to sell and secure sales with new and existing clients.
